Nadia Cavner and the Love Your Neighbor Community

Nadia Cavner, a dedicated philanthropist, works hand in hand with aid organizations spanning from local to federal levels in the United States. Beyond her commitment to advocacy and activism, Nadia has played a crucial role in assisting the Assyrian Church of the East, aiding thousands of Assyrian Christian refugees who have fled persecution in Syria and Iraq. Her passion for making a difference extends further with her recent contributions and donation of much-needed school books to the Love Your Neighbor Community.

The Love Your Neighbor Community (LYNC), an international non-profit organization with offices in the U.S., is on a mission to advance religious freedom in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and extend God’s love to people in tangible ways. Collaborating with governments, civil societies, and religious groups in these regions, LYNC focuses its efforts on Ukraine, where it is actively assisting thousands of people in escaping their war-torn country and finding shelter in safer regions.

In the wake of the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, LYNC swiftly activated its evacuation routes, enabling over 4,000 individuals to find refuge from the turmoil. Furthermore, the NGO has assisted many of these refugees in resettling near Dresden, Germany. With the support of the German government and the Ukrainian aid center, LYNC has provided temporary housing and emergency food provisions to aid the resettled refugees.

Today, the LYNC is sheltering and nourishing more than 2,000 individuals, encompassing women, teenagers, and children. Recognizing the emotional scars left by the ravages of war, the organization has initiated the “Rebuilding Ukraine Now” project. This initiative addresses the psychological impact of the invasion through art therapy sessions conducted by skilled art therapists from the University of Fine Arts of Dresden.

In the midst of crisis and turmoil, Nadia Cavner and the Love Your Neighbor Community stand together to provide hope and compassion for people in a situation desperate for both. While keeping up with school may seem like the least of their worries right now, Nadia and the LYNC recognize the deep value and significance of education, especially for children. These textbooks have provided these children with a sense of normalcy and being grounded in a time when most things in their lives have been uprooted.

Nadia is proud to partner with the LYNC and support their efforts to extend God’s love in practical and tangible ways. The Book of Proverbs says, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.” The Love Your Neighbor Community puts those words into action every day, and Nadia looks forward to collaborating further in the years to come.
